LTE User UL Throughput Enhancement in Nokia system

Issue :-  During day time intermittent data connection lost with poor data experience specially in Zoom Calls/MS Team / CISCO Webex 



Analysis :-


vCell KPI stats were satisfactory in BBH and 24 Hrs in DL
vWhen cell KPIs checked in 15min interval it was observed that at some instant high UL demand with UL PRB riches to  95% from 40%-50% with slight poor SINR and BLER

vAs UL demand and user were high as expected target for BLER were not meeting result more retransmission



Solution:-


vThere were defined fixed target UL BLER on cell level with initial MCS allocation from 4 onward
vWe decided to make UL target BLER dynamic as depend upon cell scenario with two step process

              Set1:- actUlDynamicTargetBler = True    Set2:- actUlDynamicTargetBler = True&& iniMCSUL=6



Result:-


vBoth Set has given good result dominated by Set2 for trails on 10 sites
vFinal trail done for 1180 FDD cells with many KPIs improvement, TDD inline
vVoice/Data traffic were intact in 12 days observation
vCells with UL TP<100Kbps reduced  by 39.25% where as Cells with UL TP<200Kbps reduced by 19.35%
vCCE Blocking reduced by 25.84% where as SPE increased by 1.7%
vCell with DL TP<1Mbps reduced by 11.49%

vComplain on same set of cells reduced by 13.33%
